My favourite dish

Watch the video

Now you are going to prepare a presentation on a favourite dish. The presentation has to be done in two parts:

PART ONE:

  • The name of the dish and where it comes from.
  • The reason why you have chosen it.
  • Have you ever eaten it? When do you/people usually eat it? How did you get the recipe?
  • What is special about this meal?
  • What is your opinion of the dish? What does it taste like?
Two or three slides are enough to present this part. Use pictures to show your dish (and the country it comes from, if it is not Spain)

PART TWO:

  • Ingredients and directions to make your dish.
This part may be done either by recording yourself at home or with a ppt presentation.
If you record your video, have a look at the one above to help you.
If you make a ppt, don't use more than five slides.

TIPS FOR THE PRESENTATION

  • Before the presentation, research information and organize it.
  • Search for pictures or take them yourself.
  • Write a speech for your presentation.
  • DO NOT write long sentences.
  • Use the presentation to help you, but DO NOT READ the slides.
  • Add animations to make it more appealing.
USE THE VOCABULARY WE HAVE STUDIED IN THIS UNIT
